Summary description:
Become a welder/fabricator, internship will teach intern to set up, operate, and fabricate metal products using a MIG or TIG welders, and laser machines. Interns who complete our program will be proficient at things such as: Manufacturing and fabricating finished metal products; Installing and repairing various equipment and components; Following blueprints to meet product specifications; Calculating material measurements to verify specifications; Conducting tests to evaluate weld quality and tolerance; Be able to identify different materials, finishes and grades; Be able to read prints and interpret geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T); Proficient at using inspection equipment such as tape measures, calipers, and micrometers; Be able to identify defects and nonconformance; Be able to operate a forklift and other material handling equipment safely; Follow processes as defined in procedures manual; Verify programs before cutting material
