The Aviation Maintenance Technology SkillBridge program is a nine-week, full-time program designed to train and connect transitioning service members, veterans and eligible military spouses into aviation maintenance and technician careers with reputable aerospace industry partners, such as AAR Corp; Amentum, Boeing, HAECO Americas, Hawaiian Airlines, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman; Pratt & Whitney and StandardAero. Program attendees must meet eligibility requirements and be willing to relocate to industry partner hiring locations. Participants earn an 18-credit hour Aviation Maintenance Technology Part 65 Certificate from Embry-Riddle and a B-737 NG Familiarization certificate from industry partner AAR. Job description:
If participants meet the experience requirements established by FAA Part 65.77 to qualify for the Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) Certificate, then this program will provide the foundational knowledge necessary to take the FAA written, oral, and practical examination. A&P certificated mechanics have numerous options for employment. If participants have NOT met the 18-30 months of practical experience necessary to qualify for the A&P Certificate, then select industry hiring partners are committed to hiring and will provide participants with the necessary practical experience once they are employed.

Eligibility factors:
All Services
Receive command approval to participate in the program (for active-duty participants). Be willing to relocate to industry hiring partner locations after leaving the service.
