Participants receive intensive classroom and behind-the-wheel training focused on safety, vehicle operation, trip planning, and federal and state regulations. Graduates are prepared to test for the Georgia Class A Commercial Driver’s License and transition directly into high-demand civilian driving careers.
Job description:
Graduates of this program are prepared for entry-level commercial driving positions, including local, regional, and over-the-road truck driving roles. Job duties may include operating commercial vehicles, conducting pre- and post-trip inspections, complying with DOT regulations, managing delivery schedules, maintaining driver logs, and ensuring safe transport of goods. Positions exist across logistics, distribution, construction, and transportation industries.

Participants must possess a valid driver’s license, obtain a Commercial Learner’s Permit, pass a DOT physical and drug screening, and meet all federal and state CDL eligibility requirements. Command approval for SkillBridge participation is required.
