Long Green Vol. Fire Co. is highly interested in helping service members transition out of active duty. Not only can we provide nationally recognized fire and EMS training courses but we can also offer living accommodations at no charge to the service member. While attending training courses they will also have the ability to apply these new skills when in the fire station by responding to calls for service. The service member will work along other members of our organization who have completed the same training course who will act as mentors to the service member. In addition to the technical skills that they will learn in courses they will also be exposed to skills related to running a non-profit organization, such as maintaining financial stability within an organization, community relations and leadership skills.

Career Firefighter/EMS Personnel
The service member would be expected to meet with a mentor to develop a training route the meets the service members needs. The service member would be expected to attend training classes and meet any expectations laid out in the course outline. If applicable, at the end of the training class the member would be expected to obtain nationally registered status by completing national registries exams where available.
