Job Title: General Engineering Technical, GS-05 through GS-10Job Description: The C282 primary function of this position is responsible for coordination of Department work among all the technical branches, which includes scheduling and issuing technical information booklets, maintaining Technical library, maintaining all engineering drawings, contract requirements and coordination, and coordination of Code 280’s Planning Yard efforts for assigned ships. Code 282’s coordinated efforts include:• Coordinates Planning Yard responsibilities• Budget development of NAVSEA allocated funds• Work package acceptance/declination• Scheduling commitments for technical product issue• Negotiation of all financial matters• Prioritization of Engineering & Planning Department work efforts• Issuing, storage and distribution of all engineering products• Directs and coordinated the establishment of Departmental policies, instructions and procedures• Coordinates, prepares and administers technical contractual specifications and authorizes expenditures of such work.
