The Senior Systems Engineering Manager leads the Systems Engineering and Execution Leadership organization responsible for the concept development, architecture, design, integration, and validation of rugged embedded systems. Reporting to the Director of Engineering, this position provides functional leadership to systems engineers, project engineers, and Integrated Product Team Leads supporting multiple defense and aerospace development programs.The Senior Systems Engineering Manager establishes systems engineering and technical execution standards, directs department resources, and ensures programs are executed in accordance with technical, cost, schedule, quality, and customer requirements. The role is responsible for department staffing, employee development, engineering estimates, performance management, technical risk resolution, and continuous improvement of systems engineering processes, tools, and capabilities.

Program duration and training scope may be expanded or condensed based on participant experience, qualifications, and transition timeline. Due to DoW requirements, candidates must be US citizens. Must be able to obtain and maintain DoD Security clearances and approvals

Eligibility factors:

Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corps, Navy, Space Force
Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Electrical / Systems / Aerospace /Mechanical/Computer Science)Master's degree in a technical field and/or MBA is highly preferred Experienced professional with demonstrated leadership experience, including 10+ year of engineering experience with at least 3+ years of engineering functional management experience. Track record of producing results, meeting financial targets, and leading product development teams in a CAM, IPT Lead, or Program Management role.Experienced presenter and communicator with prior experience as the primary technical interface to internal and external customers and executive leadershipDemonstrated leadership experience in a fast- paced development environment with multiple active programs at different stages of developmentExperience in program phases from capture through development to sustainmentExperience in risk and opportunity analysis, tracking and mitigationActively engages, drives change to achieve execution excellence and solve critical problemsDemonstrated analytical and attention to details /skills.Strong understanding of system design processes, including working to the industry-accepted Systems Engineering VExperienced with deployed military electronics using COTS electronics (e.g. VPX)Familiarity with the latest industry technologies, such as VPX, Gen 3 PCI Express, 40GE Ethernet, 40Gb Infiniband, USB 3.0, DDR, 4 memory, etc.Well versed in the latest rugged/embedded technologies commonly utilized in the defense/aerospace industryProficient in DOORS for requirements management
