Job description:
Participants complete a comprehensive training program that combines the 40-hour RBT curriculum with practical field experience under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs). Training includes:Foundations of Applied Behavior AnalysisCompassionate and ethical service deliveryProfessional conduct and communicationData collection and behavior measurementSkill acquisition proceduresBehavior reduction strategiesSession documentation and treatment integrityCultural humility and trauma-informed careFamily collaboration and caregiver supportSafety procedures and workplace expectationsParticipants observe and assist with ABA services in home, school, and community settings while developing the competencies necessary for employment as a Registered Behavior Technician. Upon successful completion, participants are well prepared to pursue RBT certification (after meeting all certification requirements) and transition into part-time employment within the behavioral health field.
Successful completion of the SkillBridge training program does not guarantee employment. Participants who wish to pursue employment opportunities with Helping Hands ABA or other ABA providers must successfully complete all applicable hiring requirements, including the interview process, background screening, and any required onboarding procedures. Positions requiring Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) credentials are contingent upon obtaining RBT certification and meeting all applicable state and employer requirements.
