Job description:
Govini is looking for motivated, curious, and data-driven individuals to join our team as Senior Implementation Engineers. Senior Implementation Engineers at Govini have a quantitative mindset and fi rm understanding of how to use technology and data to solve hard customer problems. Senior Implementation Engineers are responsible for developing new methodologies to answer client questions with Govini’s data, leveraging quantitative skills to confi gure Govini’s technology to achieve customer outcomes, communicate data-driven insights to executives in the national security community, and oversee cross-functional teams to produce compelling program insights, data visualization, and briefi ngs. In order to do this job well, you must be analytical, understand people, have a strong drive to use technology to solve the hardest problems, have business acumen, and want to learn everything, particularly about the most pressing national security challenges confronting the nation and how data and machine learning can help address them. You understand the US Government and Defense acquisition processes and the importance of effective and effi cient program management, supply chain risk management, and program and technology modernization. You ask hard, uncomfortable questions. You have a professional acumen that allows you to lead conversations with top government agency offi cials. You know there are always multiple answers to hard problems, and you know how to engage in a constructive dialogue to fi nd the best path forward. This role is a full-time position located out of our offi ce in Arlington, VA.
Scope of Responsibilities ● Work with national security professionals to answer their critical business questions ● Manage collaborative cross-functional teams of analysts to deliver high-quality analysis and drive improvements to Govini’s product offerings ● Translate qualitative and quantitative analysis to objective and accurate views of business operations, producing valuable insights for customers and recommendations to improve performance ● Present data-driven findings in a concise and compelling manner to executives and government officials ● Demonstrate subject matter expertise in key knowledge areas such as OSINT investigative analysis, Supply Chain Risk Management including IT-related SCRM (ICT SCRM), industrial base, manufacturing, & production areas, technology scouting and technology application, defense acquisitions and program management, government procurement, supplier assurance, federal contracting, and/or Planning, Programming, Budget, and Execution (PPBE) ● Develop expertise in Govini’s clients, offerings and data, and support customers as a Govini product and data expert ● Execute the successful implementation of software and data to Govini’s customers and provide platform training● Use coding languages (SQL, Python) to conduct technical platform confi guration and data integration ● Build and manage client relationships ● Lead execution teams and/or workstreams ● Collaborate with Govini Engagement Managers and Product Managers to capture market demand and user needs for inclusion into Govini’s offerings ● Proactively drive utilization of the product using targeted training and engagement strategies that drive mission outcomes and analytical insights for platform users ● Develop and maintain documentation such as tailored user guide reference materials ● Conduct research and develop quantitative analytic reports using Govini technology and data ● Orally and visually present data-driven findings in a concise and compelling manner to internal teams, as well as government offi cials ● Demonstrate knowledge in areas such as US Government programs and operations, federal acquisitions and program management, government procurement practices, supplier assurance, federal contracting, Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE), Supply Chain Risk Management, and Open Source Intelligence (OSINT) analysis. Depending on your background and expertise, you could also be responsible for: ● Provide technical workflow development and configuration ● Communicate data-driven insights to executives in the national security space ● Conduct in-depth quantitative and qualitative analyses on problems of importance to U.S. national security community using data visualization, compelling written paper and briefings ● Provide product demonstrations in support of sales pursuits efforts ● Mentor team members to increase skill and domain expertise

Required Qualifications ● U.S. Citizenship is required ● Bachelor’s Degree in International Relations, Political Science, International Security, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science or similar fields, or 3-7 years of equivalent experience ● Strong familiarity / skills with SQL, Python, and/or R. Familiarity with other skills such as Excel, React, Typescript, Java, C, GoLang or ability to quickly learn these skills are also desirable. ● 3-7 years experience performing national security-related analytics; preference for research, quantitative analysis, data manipulation, and data visualization skills ● Knowledge of defense acquisition life cycle and program management, technology scouting, and supply chain risk management ● History of engaging with and presenting to federal Government stakeholders ● Excellent professional demeanor with a willingness to work outside of your comfort zone in a fast-paced environment without hesitation ● Strong aptitude for solving open ended issues in unpredictable, unstructured environments ● Eligibility and willingness to obtain a U.S. security clearance ● Outstanding listening, verbal, and written communication skills ● Ability to manage multiple work-streams and projects, learn quickly, and work independently with little supervisionDesired Qualifications ● Master’s degree in International Relations, Political Science, International Security, Business Administration, Business Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science or similar fields ● 3-7 years of experience in user support or user engagement with a focus on platform and product utilization
