The Mechanical Millwright SkillBridge program provides transitioning service members with hands-on training and exposure to industrial maintenance and mechanical repair practices within a defense manufacturing environment. Participants will develop the knowledge and skills to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and rebuild mechanical equipment while supporting preventative maintenance and production operations in compliance with safety and quality standards. This program is designed to build foundational capability in equipment, machining, system repair, and mechanical troubleshooting with opportunities across multiple U.S. locations based on business needs.
Job description:
Mechanical Millwright installs, relocates, reconstructs, repairs, and rebuilds industrial machinery and major site equipment within a regulated defense manufacturing environment. This role performs preventative maintenance, equipment modification, and precision alignment activities while supporting test systems and production operations. High School graduate plus completion of a four-year Mechanic Millwright Apprenticeship or a two-year Associate Degree in Mechanical TechnologyFour years’ experience working in the Mechanic Millwright repair field. Prior machining experience, such as lathe, milling machine, boring mill, etc.
