Responsibilities (as a Registered Caregiver - post-program): - Provide compassionate, personalized care to clients in their homes, respecting their individual needs and preferences. - Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility assistance, as needed. -Assist with medication reminders and ensure clients take their prescribed medications as directed (caregivers do not administer medications unless specifically licensed). - Prepare nutritious meals, considering dietary needs and preferences, and assist with feeding as needed. - Maintain a safe and sanitary home environment through light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and tidying. - Accompany clients to medical appointments, grocery shopping, errands, and social outings, providing transportation and support. - Offer companionship and emotional support, engaging clients in conversation, recreational activities, and social outings to promote overall well-being. - Monitor clients' health status, vital signs (if trained), and any changes in condition, and promptly report concerns or issues to the appropriate healthcare professionals or family members. - Maintain accurate and detailed care records, including daily activity logs, medication administration records, and any significant changes in the client's condition. - Ensure the safety and security of clients, following established safety protocols and procedures, and responding promptly and appropriately to emergencies or urgent situations. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, family members, and caregivers involved in the client's care to ensure continuity of care and adherence to care plans and goals.
