Participants will transition their technical expertise into the classroom, leveraging a background in reactor physics and thermodynamics to train and qualify the Shipyard’s future Nuclear Shift Test Engineers.
Participants will assist with and conduct classroom, seminar, and simulator-based training focused on nuclear propulsion plant construction, operations, and maintenance. Responsibilities include developing tailored lesson plans, conducting one-on-one coaching, and preparing and grading qualification examinations for the Nuclear Shift Test Engineer School. Throughout the program, candidates will receive mentorship to build high-level proficiency in instructional development processes, dynamic classroom instruction techniques, and simulator-based training methodologies.
