The Brough Brothers Distillery was recognized by Kentucky's Senate as the state's first African American-owned distillery in 2020 and SkillBridge-approved program that provides transition Soldiers and their spouses with FREE job training in the Spirit Industry. Job description:
Distillate production process from grain selection all the way to the barrels. Distillers will work primarily in distillery operations (Grain, milling, mashing, blending, yeasting, fermentation, distilling, and proofing), will have the ability and flexibility to run each piece of equipment at the facility including distillation, barrel handling, and bottling. The Distillers will migrate to other areas as needed, such as cleaning and sanitizing – all equipment and production work spaces, handle raw ingredients inventories, schedule deliveries, and forecast production needs. Monitor boiler room operations and collaborate with maintenance team to resolve issues. Assist in barrel un-load, inspect barrels as needed prior to and during barrels’ fill, and assist in loading the barrel into the truck. Maintain housekeeping in all areas of production as required per Standard Operation Procedures (SOP).
All expenses (Transportation, housing, and food) are solely Trainees' expense.
