In this position, you’ll be assisting Veterans and Service Members navigate one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives—buying a home. As a Loan Officer at Veterans United, you are the trusted guide from start to finish. You are not just structuring loans, you are educating borrowers on how VA loans work, setting expectations, and walking them through every step of the process with confidence and care.Here’s a snapshot of what you’d be doing:Relationship Management: Proactively identify, build, and nurture long-term professional relationships with real estate agents, builders, veteran organizations and other community business partners.Referral Network Growth: Develop a consistent pipeline of purchase business by providing exceptional service and value to referral partners, ensuring you are their "lender of choice."Co-Marketing Initiatives: Collaborate with real estate professionals on joint marketing efforts, open houses, and homebuyer seminars to increase market share and brand visibility.Engaging with borrowers to understand their goals and providing clear, expert guidance so they feel informed, confident, and ready to move forward.Leveraging online systems and digital tools to review credit and identify the best loan solutions for reach borrower.Guiding borrowers through the loan process by clearly explaining options, rates, and terms.Managing loan files from application through closing while keeping borrowers informed every step of the way.Collaborating closely with internal and external partners to ensure a smooth, high quality loan experience.
