Our company operates in the fast-paced world of data centers. We have technical expertise with the quality and commissioning processes including inspections, examinations, verification techniques, functional performance testing, critical power equipment, and operations & maintenance know how. DOD SkillBridge participants will first dive into a thorough electrical and mechanical systems training and testing program where their backgrounds will be reinforced with industry safety protocols, OSHA-10, NFPA-70E, and Red Cross certifications, our IT systems, data center electrical and mechanical systems, and our processes. Then you will head to the field for on the job training in quality and commissioning for multiple weeks before being tested on your ability to perform independently. Once cleared by our industry-leading trainers, you'll be considered an authority in the field and will inspect and commission mission critical systems in the data center environment. First week: Participant's home office Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM - 3 days performing onboarding tasks, 2 days of mechanical/electrical systems training. Second week: Participant's home office Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM - 5 days of mechanical/electrical systems training. Third week: Participant's home office Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM - 3 days of mechanical/electrical systems training, 2 days of quality (QAQC) process training. Fourth week: Participant's home office Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM - 5 days of QAQC process training. Fifth-Seventh weeks: Field data center Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM - 5 days of on-the-job QAQC process training. Eighth-ninth weeks: Field data center Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM - 5 days of on-the-job QAQC process evaluation. Tenth-twelfth+ weeks: Field data center Monday-Friday 8AM-5PM - Field support engineering role for data center QAQC services. Complete qualifications as QAQC Engineer-1.
The role of Quality Engineer provides inspections, examinations, and tests for electrical and mechanical components during construction projects in the mission critical environment. You will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with industry personnel to maintain quality standards during construction of cutting-edge facilities. You will plan, develop, setup, supervise, and evaluate quality assurance and control activities and lead teams of inspectors on-site. Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, equipment and site drawings, specifications, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. RESPONSIBILITIES: Perform inspections, examinations, and tests. Supervise and maintain surveillance over the inspections, examinations, and tests performed by other personnel. Use tools and equipment required for quality control and assurance. Determine measuring and test equipment is in proper condition for use. Effectively write and communicate reports and correspondence. Speak before groups of customers or employees of partner organizations. Lead quality meetings and coordinate resources for day-to-day scheduled activities. Review QA/QC plans, schedules, and reports. Develop, review, and approve inspection, examination, and test procedures. Plan and setup inspections, examinations, and tests. Interpret and evaluate the adequacy of procedures to accomplish the inspection, examination, and test objectives. Determine the validity of inspection, examination, and test results. Site leader for QA/QC activities on an as-needed basis.
