Explore the mapThe SkillBridge Intern will perform technical work in support of professional or technical employees engaged in hydrologic data collection activities. While on the internship, the participant will receive on the job training and gain a practical knowledge of the methods, procedure, and instrumentation used in hydrologic studies. Hydrologic Technicians gather information on the quantity, quality, availability, movement and distribution of ground water and surface water. They also evaluate water samples and data and carry out related duties that support the professional work in Hydrology.
Performs measurements of water-level, stage, and discharge. Plots discharge measurements and estimates short periods of missing records. Verifies the accuracy of data. Prepares samples for lab analyses. Performs installation, maintenance, servicing, and troubleshooting of sensing, recording, and communications equipment and instrumentation.
