Jarrett Bay offers SkillBridge apprentices the opportunity to develop entry level boatbuilding skills that will prepare them for meaningful employment in the industry immediately upon completion. We also seek to attract long-term employees who are considering a career in our industry, and invite them to join our team following completion of their SkillBridge experience.
Job description:
Jarrett Bay apprenticeship is designed to familiarize participants with all phases of boatbuilding and all skills required to take a new boat from concept to sea trial and delivery. Among these skills, they may participate in carpentry, fiberglass lamination, welding, fabrication, mechanical, electrical, and service techincians.
We offer apprenticeships of up to six months that provide the transitioning Service member with a combination of on-the-job training, under the supervision of experienced master boatbuilders. All activities are offered during working hours, which at Jarrett Bay are Monday through Friday, from 0750 - 1650.
