Precise Systems, Inc. has developed the Precise Systems – Advanced Engineering Internship Program (DoD SkillBridge) utilizing the DoDI guidance for SkillBridge. During this program the service member will be on-site at his or her host company performing an individual internship in an entry to mid-level career type role. The service member will be on the job training supporting a work schedule equivalent to 40hrs per week. Outlined below are the Goals, Objectives, and Outcomes for the program.GOALS – Provide transitioning service members fellowship-style job skills training during the last portion(s) of their military commitment. This program is specifically designed to offer internships that result in the potential to transition to a full-time opportunity as the conclusion of the training. Interns will serve as a pipeline for high-speed, motivated military candidates into Precise Systems
Job description:
The Advanced Engineering Intern will work in, learn, and support the services of awarded contract across the company’s Business Areas. This position ensures analytic performance of the staff to meet the mission needs while delivering on the corporate commitments. Candidate will collaborate with several Precise Systems business units to learn and execute daily duties of those units including HR, Finance, Contracts, Information Technology, and Operations. The Precise Systems Advanced Engineering Internship Program is comprised of 4 disciplines: • Model-Based Systems Engineering• Electronic Warfare• Cyber Security Engineering• Open System Architecture The Intern will be assigned to 1 of 4 disciplines based upon their experience All Advanced Engineering Interns learn the perspective of contractor support in: • Making plans using detailed drawings• Preparing estimates and budgets• Creating accurate project specifications• Designing engineering experiments• Creating technical reports for customers• Completing regulatory documents concerning safety issues• Finishing projects on time and within budget• Communicating with clients and coworkers about analysis resultsQUALIFICATIONS:• Bachelor's degree in a STEM-related discipline or technical degree and 6 years’ experience • High School or GED and 10 years’ experience• 4 years’ experience managing personnel or teams of personnel• Experience leading dispersed teams.• Understands the analytical workflow, products, and tools.• Have demonstrated experience across the community and broad customer (DoD community) base.• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communications skills• Proficient with Microsoft Office software; SharePoint and other communications related software programs.• Must have an Active, In-Scope, DOD Secret Security Clearance or higher with a background investigation completed within the last four years.• Must have the ability to obtain program access.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTSThe physical demands described herein are representative of those which must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Employees must possess the ability to work in a standard office or conference room setting and use standard office equipment, including a computer.
