    Job description:
    Week 1 Objectives (16 hours):- Understand the company’s core values and vision.- Familiarize yourself with internal workflows and team structures.- Set up necessary tools, access, and permissions.Week 2 Objectives (16 hours):- Learn about Latent AI’s product development process and how project management fits into it.- Shadow current project managers to observe ongoing project work.- Begin familiarizing with project management terminology (milestones, deliverables, risk management, etc.).Week 3-4: Project Management FundamentalsWeek 3 (16 hours):- Introduction to key project management principles: scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management.- Learn about the stages of a project life cycle: initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.- Understand the roles and responsibilities of a project manager and team members.- Dive into project planning tools and techniques: work breakdown structure (WBS), Gantt charts, and critical path method (CPM).Week 4 (16 hours):- Study Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and how they are applied in a tech company like Latent AI.- Learn how sprints work, what sprint planning entails, and how to track progress.- Introduction to key tools for tracking progress and collaboration (Jira, Asana, Trello, Confluence).- Assist with planning a small internal project, including defining scope, deliverables, and timelines.Week 5-6: Project Coordination & CollaborationWeek 5 (16 hours):- Learn about cross-functional collaboration: working with engineering, data science, marketing, sales, etc.- Understand how project managers facilitate communication and ensure alignment between teams.- Study risk management practices: identifying risks, assessing impacts, and creating mitigation plans.- Begin assisting in managing project schedules, tracking milestones, and adjusting timelines as needed.Week 6 (16 hours):- Attend team meetings and participate in project kickoffs.- Assist in managing dependencies between teams and ensuring smooth coordination.- Learn how to document project requirements and manage changes in scope.- Help prepare project status reports and dashboards to communicate project progress to stakeholders.Week 7-8: Project Execution & MonitoringWeek 7 (16 hours):- Learn how to track project progress: time tracking, task management, and identifying bottlenecks.- Monitor the project’s quality and scope through status updates and weekly reviews.- Learn about change control processes: managing scope creep, adjusting timelines, and handling client requests.- Work on risk management by identifying potential issues and suggesting proactive solutions.Week 8 (16 hours):- Develop skills in leading team meetings: daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.- Monitor project resources (team availability, budget tracking, etc.).- Collaborate with the QA team to ensure product quality and resolve any issues during the execution phase.- Assist in managing project budgets and cost tracking.Week 9-10: Advanced Project Management TechniquesWeek 9 (16 hours):- Learn how to manage multiple projects at once: handling priorities, ensuring deadlines are met.- Study project prioritization frameworks (e.g., MoSCoW, Eisenhower Matrix).- Dive into stakeholder management: maintaining relationships with clients, executives, and internal changes.- Critical thinking: identifying issues before they become problems and proposing solutions.Week 12: Final Project & EvaluationWeek 12 (16 hours):- Assist in completing a capstone project by applying everything learned during the internship:- Leading a mock project through the stages of the project management lifecycle.- Creating detailed project plans, schedules, and risk assessments.- Coordinating with cross-functional teams and ensuring the project runs smoothly.- Prepare a presentation of your final project to senior leadership, demonstrating your contributions and growth as a program/project manager.- Receive feedback from mentors and managers regarding your performance and skills development.
