Job description:
Oversee building projects from planning through completion, ensuring they are finished on time, within budget, and according to specifications.Key Responsibilities:Plan, coordinate, and supervise construction projectsDevelop project schedules, budgets, and timelinesHire and manage subcontractors, laborers, and other staffEnsure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and legal requirementsReview blueprints and technical documentsMonitor progress and resolve issues or delaysCommunicate with clients, architects, and engineersConduct site inspections and maintain quality controlSkills & Qualifications:Strong leadership and organizational skillsKnowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulationsAbility to read and interpret blueprintsProblem-solving and decision-making abilitiesExcellent communication skillsDegree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field (often preferred)Relevant work experience in constructionWork Environment:Construction managers split their time between office settings and construction sites, often working under tight deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
