ANDERSON CAREER BUILDER INSTITUTE and SKILLBRIDGE PARTNERSHIP Anderson Career Builder Institute was founded by Mary Jean Anderson, President of Anderson Plumbing, Heating & Air in response to the nationwide critical shortage of qualified candidates for employment in the skilled trades. ACBI is a specialized earn-while-you-learn trade school to train residential plumbers and HVAC technicians for rewarding careers in the home service industry. We have partnered with SkillBridge as an approved training program for service members preparing to enter Civilian life. SkillBridge members can apply to join any of our sessions throughout the year during the last 180 days of their EOS. Our point of contact for our SkillBridge applicants is Alyssa Slater. Alyssa will be able to provide you with information about the program, find a class that matches with your EOS date, walk you through our application process and help with command approval and contracts if you are selected to join our class. Spots are limited due to high demand so please email Alyssa (alyssa@andersonpha.com) today with your EOS date to see if this program is right for you! 90-Day Pre-Apprentice Program: There is no cost for this program - tuition, uniforms and cost of instructional materials are included for a select number of successful SkillBridge applicants. The 90-day program runs five days a week (Monday thru Friday) and includes two days in the classroom/lab and three days in the field with experienced professional technicians/trainers. At the end of the 90-day program, students will have the opportunity to apply for full-time employment with Anderson Plumbing, Heating & Air or several other great partner plumbing, heating and air companies across California that will entertain applications. ACBI is prepared to accommodate SkillBridge members who may need time off to complete their EOS physical or other appointments directly pertaining to their EOS. Please make sure to notify administration in advance so we can make sure you do not get behind in the program. ACBI does not provide any housing or transportation during our program. Please make sure that you will be stationed/living local to San Diego, CA in order to participate in our program. You will be reporting to our main campus in El Cajon 5 days a week.
