Job description:
As a SkillBridge participant, you will engage in a structured Business Development training program, not an employment role. Under the guidance of an experienced mentor, you will receive exposure to the core functions of Business Development in the defense and business-to-business environment.Training activities may include:Learning how organizations identify, qualify, and assess new business opportunitiesUnderstanding customer ecosystems across government, prime, and commercial marketsObserving and participating in simulated product briefings and demonstrationsStudying how conferences, industry events, and whitepapers support market positioningGaining insight into how Business Development interfaces with engineering, product development, and research and development effortsLearning how organizations identify capability gaps and align research and development initiatives to warfighter needsBecause SkillBridge participation is time-limited, the program provides broad exposure to all major Business Development topics, with depth scaled to the approved participation window. Some advanced topics are introduced at a high level and explored in greater detail only if the participant transitions to full-time employment after separation.Participants are encouraged to take initiative in their learning, including independent study and professional development, recognizing that the value gained from the program reflects the effort invested. This training opportunity is designed to prepare participants for long-term success in Business Development and the defense industry, while supporting OKSI’s mission to develop and deliver intelligent systems and software that support the warfighter.
This is a hybrid position with travel on average of once to twice a month.
