The SaaS Developer (FedRAMP SkillBridge Fellow) will support the design, development, and compliance alignment of a secure, cloud-based SaaS platform intended for future government use. This role assists with system architecture planning, implementation of secure coding practices, and integration of security controls aligned with FedRAMP and NIST SP 800-53 requirements. The Fellow will contribute to vulnerability management efforts, configure role-based access controls, support audit logging and monitoring design, and assist in preparing compliance documentation required for federal authorization pathways. This position provides hands-on experience in secure SaaS development, cloud security architecture, and federal regulatory environments, preparing participants for cybersecurity, cloud engineering, and compliance-focused technology roles.

Must be eligible to participate in the Department of Defense SkillBridge Program and receive command approval.Must be within 180 days of separation or retirement from active duty service.Strong interest in SaaS development, cybersecurity, cloud architecture, or federal compliance environments.Foundational understanding of information technology principles, networking, or software development (formal education, self-study, or operational experience acceptable).Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and operate in a performance-based environment.Professional written and verbal communication skills.Ability to handle sensitive information responsibly and adhere to ethical and security standards.U.S. citizenship required due to the federal compliance focus of the program.Preferred (but not required):Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or similar)Exposure to cybersecurity frameworks (NIST, RMF, ISO, etc.)Prior experience in technical, communications, intelligence, cyber, or IT-related military specialtiesSelection is competitive and based on demonstrated initiative, technical aptitude, and alignment with program objectives.
