During the SkillBridge application process, a detailed training plan is required to identify training objectives, defined tasks, and a schedule of events. This Test Clerk Training Plan provides structured exposure to Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS) testing operations, applicant coordination, ASVAB administration procedures, test material accountability, records management, quality control procedures, and automated testing systems. Training progresses from foundational testing procedures and compliance requirements to hands-on execution of applicant processing, testing administration, quality assurance measures, and testing security responsibilities. Participants receive supervised instruction utilizing systems such as the USMEPCOM Integrated Reporting System (USMIRS) and Internet Computerized Adaptive Testing (iCAT) system to support applicant processing and test administration functions. Following each training period, the participant will be assessed on knowledge, skills, and abilities related to the designated curriculum. Training is based on USMEPCOM operational requirements and reflects real-world Test Clerk duties performed within a MEPS environment.
Job description:
Serves as a Test Clerk within a Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS). The incumbent supports testing operations associated with applicant processing, ASVAB administration, test session preparation, applicant briefing procedures, test material accountability, records management, quality control procedures, and automated testing systems. Duties include supporting applicant check-in operations, monitoring testing procedures, safeguarding accountable test materials, utilizing USMIRS and iCAT systems, assisting with applicant documentation, and ensuring compliance with applicable testing regulations, security requirements, and administrative procedures.
Upon completion of this SkillBridge training program, the participant will have completed approximately 400 hours of supervised Test Clerk training aligned with MEPS operational requirements. The participant will demonstrate documented exposure to and supervised participation in core MEPS testing functions, including applicant processing, USMIRS operations, iCAT procedures, ASVAB administration support, testing accountability procedures, records management, quality review operations, and testing security requirements. The participant will demonstrate understanding of testing compliance standards, applicant accountability procedures, office professionalism, and organizational accountability within a regulated government environment. Upon completion, the participant will demonstrate the ability to support end-to-end testing operations under supervision by applying cumulative knowledge across multiple testing functional areas in accordance with established USMEPCOM policies, procedures, and compliance standards.
