Explore the mapThis position is responsible for following approved procedures, for the start-up, shutdown, normal operations, monitoring, servicing, and maintenance of all equipment and systems at a Combined Cycle Generating Facility. Must be familiar with emergency procedures to follow during periods of abnormal operation. Accountable for knowing and adhering to all location safety procedures including Lock Out Tag Out and personal protective equipment. Performs maintenance of plant equipment; troubleshoots, repairs, and calibrates equipment. Position must monitor equipment performance through test, analysis, and report variances. Performs chemical analysis and chemical control on steam, cooling and condensate systems, and maintains chemistry logs. Troubleshoots equipment/system problems and fix if possible. Originate work orders for those problems that cannot be resolved by operations. Incumbents assist in the development of standard operational procedures and provide input to plant betterment items to improve plant efficiency, reliability, and safety. Ensures compliance with all local, State and Federal regulations and plant procedures. Regularly required to maintain plan security, operate heavy equipment such as manlifts and forklifts, and handle and transfer bulk chemicals.
