Job description:
Team Memphis Rescue & Support is seeking motivated transitioning service members for a hands-on SkillBridge internship supporting nonprofit rescue operations, logistics coordination, and community outreach. This opportunity provides practical experience in nonprofit leadership, operational planning, interstate transport coordination, and animal welfare management within a rapidly growing 501(c)(3) rescue organization.Interns will work alongside rescue leadership and volunteers to support the lifesaving efforts of dogs at risk in shelters throughout the Mid-South region and beyond.Primary Duties and ResponsibilitiesCoordinate rescue transports and interstate logisticsAssist with foster and volunteer communicationSupport intake, adoption, and outcome trackingHelp manage operational records and compliance documentationAssist with social media content and public outreachParticipate in fundraising and sponsorship initiativesSupport event planning and community engagement activitiesCommunicate with veterinary clinics, shelters, and rescue partnersAssist with process improvement and organizational planning
