Position Description:Mission1st Puerto Rico is seeking a GIS Business Analyst. The successful candidate for the Geospatial (GIS) Business Analyst position requires an in-depth knowledge of industry leading Geospatial tools including the Esri desktop tool set. This position will also have some exposure and involvement in development and requirements gathering and analysis. The geospatial work performed is critical to the infrastructure of the island.Responsibilities and Duties:• Identify requirements across business units and evaluate real-time data to uncover substandard systems processes.• Act as a thought leader for technical business processes, developing innovative system prototypes to enhance efficiency and productivity.• Create and implement precise project management plans, emphasizing transparent communication at all levels.• Conduct thorough quality assurance at every stage of systems development.• Define and develop user requirements for systems in production to ensure optimal usability.• Collaborate with stakeholder teams across business units to create analysis and documentation, communicating effectively with various teams.• Continuously assess and communicate system requirements while maintaining systems processes, including delivering monthly status reports.• Author and update internal and external documentation and formally initiate and deliver requirements.• Perform daily systems analytics to maximize effectiveness and troubleshoot issues.Requirements: • Active or recent CBP BI required• BS/BA in GIS, Geography, Cartography, Computer Science or other related field w/ GIS experience.• At least 3 year of GIS experience and technical business analysis • Proficiency in creating Geospatial Products using Esri desktop and web-based tools• Ability to interpret and communicate geospatial products toMission1st Puerto Rico leadership• Familiarity with visualization tools, including Esri-based web interfaces like Portal for ArcGIS and ArcGIS Online• Knowledge of Esri Geodatabases and OGC service standards for geospatial data• Strong communication skills, both verbal and writtenDue to the nature of the work we support, all candidates in consideration for this role must be U.S. Citizens willing to undergo the government issued background investigation process.
Position is in San Juan area, about 5 minutes from the beach and a Mon-Fri 1st shift position.
