Paints surfaces of aircraft parts applying knowledge of surface preparation and painting techniques, using spray painting equipment, power tools, and work aids by performing the following duties:• Know and follow general company and corporate policies and procedures.• Know, understand, and follow department policies and procedures.• Strips, sands, masks, and repaints surfaces, and manually blends finish to match surrounding areas.• Regulates controls on equipment to cure and dry paint or other coatings.• Cleans spraying equipment and brushes with solvent.• Monitors and verifies quality in accordance with industry standards.• Records types and amounts of paints used for environmental regulation reporting.• Records completion of painting operations on planning documents.• Maintains a safe and clean working environment by cleaning paint booth area; complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.• Report to work on time, follow instructions from supervisor or management, interact well co-workers, understand and follow work rules and procedures.• Crosstrain in different processes within department.• Other various duties as needed or as assigned.
