Job description:
The Logistics Analyst I (LA) will be part of the work group that supports the In-Service Engineering Agents (ISEA), who maintain Combat System Safety and Effectiveness for Submarines at the Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic. In particular, this position supports the Common Submarine Radio Room (CSRR) and serves as the main point of contact for the ILS-IPT and liaison between the ship and NIWC-LANT. Duties the candidate will provide include logistics, material management, administrative and data management, tracking, configure management of the C4ISR equipment and parts, as well as other support to the ISEA that is essential to the readiness of the platform and supports Submarine warfighting capabilities. The ISEA for Submarine Logistics includes acquisition, sustainment, and end of life Logistics. This particular role is for platform support of a specific Class of Submarine. Maintaining the readiness of the Submarine during decreasing budgets and increasing operational tempo will be among the challenges. This position typically requires four years of experience in the related area as an individual contributor, as well as extensive knowledge of the function and department processes. Supervisory experience is desirable but not required and may be in the future of the position. DUTIES and RESPONSBILITIES:• Interpret various MILSTRIP codes to identify the types of requisitions submitted and to determine whether to fill or deny a requisition. Specifically in the case of initial outfitting, stock replenishment and direct turn-over requisitions• Provide logistical support services to maintain a CSRR ILS Status Database that accurately depicts the status of all Technical Manuals (TMs), Preventative Maintenance, Allowance Parts Lists (APLs), and On-Board Repair Parts (OBRPs) for CSRR variants installed on all classes of submarines• Maintain platform and site equipment/system configuration databases to include Sharepoint, Configuration Data Manager Database – Open Architecture (CDMD-OA), CMPro, and PMS-MIS• Review and provide ILS input/data to alterations including Engineering Changes (EC), Ohio Class Modifications (OCMOD), Software Updates/Software Documents (SU/SWD), Temporary Alterations (TEMPALTS) and Engineering Change Requests (ECR) (CDRL A002)• Track inventory and report status of shortages as required• Update configuration records and monitor existing configuration records as needed • Provide technical representation at various engineering and obsolescence meetingsEXPERIENCE and QUALIFICATIONS• The position will require an Active Security Clearance• Prior experience with CDMD-OA is a definite plusNice-To-Have Qualifications:• Provisioning experience with updating nomenclature, XSFT, CDMD-OA, ILS Certification, TMINS, maintenance and installation work files• Experience with parts screening databases (OneTouch, GDAPL, HAYSTACK, FEDLOG, LogiQuest) is preferred p• Supervisory experience
