Summary description:
Represent EPA’s Inland Area Contingency Planning interests in the National Response Team sub-committees, support the Regional Manager level EPA Workgroup, lead the coordinated impacts to ACPs from the Facility Response Plan regulatory changes. Provide Project Management, Subject Matter Expertise to support the EPA national-level program, workgroup, inter and intra-agency coordination this position needs to ensure EPA is success in meeting our National Response System requirements for Inland ACPs, as well as Facility Response Plans (FRPs), and National Response Team requirements.
Job description:
Deliverables: - Facilitate a collaborative first USCG/EPA Area Contingency Planning National Response Team Advisory Group meeting- Revise the Advisory Group Charter collaboratively to ensure the right participation and objectives are set for the next year.- Facilitate future Advisory Group meetings through the duration of the internship- Support the EPA HQ representative on EPA Inland ACP Workgroup meetings, including finalize the workgroup's policy memo and draft Handbook update (with contractor support).
This person can work remotely from almost anywhere depending on the host agencies' policies. The Regional Representative on the Workgroup is in Seattle, so Alaska and West Coast would align well.

his position needs a candidate that has years of experience at the local/regional level in leading Area Committees, developing/updating ACPs (inland or Coastal), experience in EPA and/or USCG environmental emergency preparedness, the National Response Team at the Regional and/or National Levels. They will need strong project management and communication skills that come from years of professional experience
