Sr. Information Assurance Security Engineer Responsibilities:Senior IA Engineers shall have at a minimum 5+ years field experience in IA at start of work.Responsible for updating security patches.Maintains network security and data protection through monitoring of devices, software authenticity and firewall protection.Works with outside vendors in support of securityResponsible for maintaining networks in a LAN/WAN environment and day-to-day operations of enterprise-level hardware and data communications by minimizing system downtime and maximizing system performance.Maintains network security and data protection through monitoring of devices, software authenticity and firewall protection.Maintains communications system requirements including WAN, Internet and Private connections to all sites. Works with outside vendors in support of communications.Personnel shall troubleshoot system equipment in the fieldVTC equipment includes, but is not limited to: Cisco codecs, A/V switches, scalers, transceivers, fiber, AMX controllers, AMX touch panels, echo cancellers, audio mixers, video mixers, cameras, display monitors, terminal servers, etc. Support equipment includes, but is not limited to: Cisco phones, Ricoh fax machines, workstations, servers, printers, etc.Personnel will receive team training on uncommon equipment such as “Trip Kits” and shall be responsible for troubleshooting those devices once trained.Handle COMSEC equipment and shall sign the periodic COMSEC briefing provided by Security Team.MS Windows literate for performing some duties.Fill out daily timecards to comply with Government regulations.Update the ticketing system in a timely manner, including calling into the NOC for on-site arrive and off-site departure.

Qualifications• A minimum Cisco CCNA Route/Switch Certification or Higher• Have and maintain a Comptia Security+ Certification at start of work• 5+ years enterprise network/ Information Assurance experience• Active TS/SCIAdditional personal security interview beyond TS during Skillbridge period.
