Job description:
Participants in this SkillBridge program will engage in structured training focused on small business operations using a marina as the operational environment. Training includes guided observation, mentorship, and supervised participation in daily business activities.Key training areas include:• Business operations and workflow management • Customer service and client relationship management • Scheduling and service coordination • Administrative processes and recordkeeping • Financial fundamentals including pricing, invoicing, and expense tracking • Operational logistics and facility management • Regulatory compliance and safety practices • Leadership and business decision-making Participants will work directly with experienced business owners and managers to gain practical insight into running a small business in a service-based industry.Participants will not replace employees and will engage in structured mentorship, observation, and supervised training activities.

All Services
• Must be an active duty service member approved for participation in the SkillBridge program • Must be within 180 days of separation or retirement • Must have command approval • Ability to work in an in-person training environment • Interest in business operations, management, or entrepreneurship preferred • Ability to stand for extended periods of time • Ability to maintain balance while working on or around vessels and docks • Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds, including overhead lifting when necessary • Ability to safely navigate a marina environment, including docks and vessels • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • Willingness to learn, take direction, and actively participate in a structured training program
