Job description:
Duties and Responsibilities:• Provides pre-sales support as required in pursuit of revenue goals and opportunities needing in-field technical support. • Recommend, program, configure and deliver demonstration equipment in support of the sales and marketing team in support of revenue objectives. • Assist in closing opportunities by configuring radio equipment for successful operation on customer-owned radio systems. Communicate and demonstrate BK value proposition. • Coordinates with engineering and customer service to implement corrective action to customer field issues and product improvement needs. • Travel to customer sites and diagnose and repair issues with radio equipment and systems. • Program customer radios to operate on radio infrastructure, correct programming errors, optimize radio configurations for optimal use. • Train customers in the use of radio equipment, systems and software. • Identify potential issues that may impact customer operations and satisfaction and communicate those findings to sales, engineering and manufacturing. • Travel to different locations within CONUS will be required under working conditions (up to 70%) • Exhibits desirable and appropriate professional behavior including leadership, sense of urgency, independent judgment, teamwork, ability to get along with others, creative thinking and personal integrity to provide for a cohesive, productive unit dedicated to the achievement of corporate goals. • Additional duties as assigned or required. Knowledge & Skills:• Strong Excel, MS Word, and Power Point skills required • Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills • Good analytical skills • Very detail-oriented, accurate and organized • Ability and desire to understand two-way radio systems concepts. • Proven ability to interact effectively with customers • Ability to demonstrate sense of urgency and instill in others • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines • Able to work independently and as part of a team • Confidentiality and time management • Highly adaptable self-motivated mindset eager to take on new challenges Qualifications:• 2-year technical degree or appropriate experience • Minimum of five years applicable experience in the successful implementation of LMR products• Proven experience with P25 systems • Detailed knowledge of two-way radio systems desirable • Able to communicate effectively with team members and customersWorking Conditions & Physical Demands:• Work typically takes place remotely with potential travel to customer sites. Work in an office environment may require sitting, walking, lifting, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, talking, hearing, and seeing• Operate a PC and other office equipment• Travel between floors and office buildings may be required
The duty location is the employee's home of record. Preferred residency in the Western area of USA.
