The Functional Analyst serves as a technical expert and focal point, ensuring alignment with air transportation C2 operations policies, plans, and requirements. This role requires expertise in analyzing program modifications, solving operational challenges, and advising on planning and execution strategies.Key Responsibilities:• Program Planning and Evaluation: Develops and evaluates comprehensive plans, goals, and objectives for the implementation of major command programs across near, mid, and long-term timelines.• Command Technical Expertise: Serves as a subject matter expert on air transportation C2 operations policies, plans, and requirements.• System and Program Analysis: Analyzes recommended modifications to systems and programs, focusing on doctrine, tactics, and concepts of operations in alignment with Air Force, OSD, and joint planning documents.• Problem Analysis and Advisement: Investigates operational challenges identified in prior studies or real-world operations and provides Functional Managers with feasible solutions to improve planning and execution.• Adaptation to Changing Environments: Assists in evaluating and adapting existing plans to respond effectively to evolving operational and environmental conditions.• Documentation Development and Review: Contribute to the development and review of AF Form 1067s, Initial Capabilities Documents (ICDs), Capability Development Documents (CDDs), and Information Systems ICDs, supporting AMC and USTRANSCOM Strategic Plans and Requirements.
