The objective of our program is to ensure the participants are trained and equipped with the required skills to perform sUAS/UAS operations and R&D Test plans, policies and operations, and to develop and test successful strategies for business development and executive management within a non-profit organization. Intern will also obtain both the Recreational and Commercial FAA UAS certificates.
Job description:
Execute and coordinate strategies for UAS Center program growth & development with the intent to develop towards a lead/manage capacity; pursue business development on new training, prototyping, and test flight initiatives; provide technical support and instruction as needed to STEM programs across multiple campuses; consult and efficiently execute program plans utilizing appropriate technologies; explore curriculum options for future STEM courses, and facilitate existing providers; maintain a security posture with processes and documentation; provide physical support & lifting when needed; organize and maintain project equipment and tooling; willingness to gain and maintain licensure of commercial UAS operations for safe pilot operations, support all business and development strategies of the board of directors; willingness to learn digital tools and security measures of organization in order to maximize data management of projects and outreach; must become proficient in registration process for all organizational programs; express professional hospitality and representation with stakeholders and participants at all times; work with other UAS technicians to fully learn the processes to manufacture and build UASs; with the end goal of being knowledgeable when discussing the program with potential donors and partners.
