Successful participants may be considered for full-time employment opportunities upon program completion.
Job description:
Position Title: Critical Infrastructure & Technology Fellow (DoD SkillBridge)Program OverviewThe M.C. Dean Critical Infrastructure & Technology Fellowship provides transitioning Service Members with structured, hands-on training and professional development opportunities across multiple business disciplines. Participants gain practical experience supporting mission-critical infrastructure, engineering, technology, construction, operations, maintenance, communications, security, and business functions while working alongside experienced industry professionals.Participants are assigned to a career pathway based on their military background, technical skills, professional interests, geographic preferences, and company workforce needs. The fellowship combines mentorship, job shadowing, formal training, project participation, and career transition support to prepare Service Members for successful civilian employment.Career PathwaysParticipants may be aligned with one or more of the following business areas:• Automation Systems• Critical Infrastructure Solutions• Electrical Systems• Facilities Engineering Operations & Maintenance• Integrated Infrastructure & Communications Systems• Life Safety Systems• Security & Electronic Systems• Project Management and Operations• Business Development and Proposal Management• Human Resources and Talent Acquisition• Finance, Contracts, Procurement, and Corporate ServicesProgram Activities• Participate in structured on-the-job training and mentorship• Observe and support project planning, execution, and operations• Learn industry standards, processes, technologies, and best practices• Assist with troubleshooting, maintenance, installation, documentation, and project coordination activities• Attend professional development workshops and career transition training• Complete assigned learning objectives and development milestones• Collaborate with cross-functional teams supporting customer missions and operational requirementsLearning OutcomesUpon completion of the fellowship, participants will be able to:• Demonstrate knowledge of industry-specific systems, tools, and processes• Apply technical and professional skills within a civilian work environment• Understand project lifecycle management and operational execution• Utilize industry documentation, procedures, and quality standards• Communicate effectively with customers, supervisors, and team members• Translate military experience into applicable civilian career competencies• Develop a long-term professional growth and career planQualifications• Active Duty Service Member approved for participation in the DoD SkillBridge Program• Ability to obtain command approval for SkillBridge participation• Strong work ethic, communication skills, and willingness to learn• Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilitiesProgram Duration60 to 180 days, based on Service branch policy, participant eligibility, command approval, and individual training plan.Potential Employment OpportunitiesSuccessful participants may be considered for full-time employment opportunities with M.C. Dean upon completion of the fellowship, subject to business needs, qualifications, and position availability.

• Active Duty Service Member approved for participation in the DoD SkillBridge Program.• Ability to obtain command approval and complete branch-specific transition requirements.• Strong communication, teamwork, leadership, and problem-solving skills.• Interest in engineering, construction, facilities operations, maintenance, communications, information technology, cybersecurity, project management, business operations, or corporate services.• Ability to work independently and within a team environment.• Willingness to participate in structured training, mentorship, and professional development activities.• Ability to meet position-specific requirements including travel, shift work, licensing, certifications, or security requirements when applicable.• Existing security clearance or clearance eligibility may be preferred for certain opportunities but is not required for all fellowship pathways.
