The Vantage Point Solutions SkillBridge program provides transitioning service members with hands-on training in Construction Design and outside plant (OSP) fiber network design. Emphasis is placed on interpreting design requirements, applying standards, and independently validating work to ensure construction-ready deliverables.By the end of the program, participants will have the knowledge and practical experience necessary to contribute to fiber design projects in a professional setting, preparing them for entry-level roles in Construction Design and OSP engineering support.
Job description:
he CAD Technician is an entry-level role responsible for supporting the design team in creating accurate and high-quality construction design documents. Working under the guidance of a Construction Design Team Lead, the Technician assists with drafting, redline implementation, quality checks, and project documentation. This role provides foundational exposure to the OSP design process, offering an opportunity to develop technical skills, gain familiarity with permitting and entity requirements, and grow into higher-level positions within the department.
