Summary description:
The CCS will report directly to the NC4ME Director of Veteran Employment and is responsible for working with veterans, transitioning service members, guard and reserve members, and military spouses to assist with employment preparation and connection to careers that match their knowledge, skills, abilities, as well as their values, vision and desired lifestyle.

Job Requirements:Highly organized, detail-oriented, accountable, flexible, and self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple tasks and remain calm in a fast-paced, changing environment Ability to manage time and resources effectively, maximize efficiency, and meet challenging work goals in a team environmentExcellent computer skills in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, as well as Google Drive and affiliated programsExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to understand and communicate with individuals in the United States Armed Forces, veterans, and their familiesExcellent written, oral, and public speaking skills with ability to interact well with the public and clearly articulate the NC4ME missionMust possess good judgment and be able to work independently and as a team member while keeping supervisor informedDuties and ResponsibilitiesThe primary job duties and responsibilities of the CCS are as follows:Connect with and provide resources to military talent to assist in advancing career opportunitiesWork with other NC4ME team members to assist veterans with networking opportunitiesMaintain a flexible quota of matches per week/month, with an emphasis on quality. Track your own metrics, with some data being recorded in the 365 Career Connections Database.Provide support to other NC4ME and community programs and events, as neededDemonstrate exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including during public speaking engagements, team meetings, and program presentationsEnsure strong collaboration among the NC4ME partners on relevant employment efforts, including supporting NC4ME Leadership Summits, NC4ME HR Training, and NC4ME Hiring Events. Support comprehensive career roadmap for sponsor career matching, including supporting resources within North Carolina.
