The Role: Under the Department of Defense SkillBridge program, SSATI hosts active duty US military members for skilled employment training for up to the final six (6) months of active duty obligated service. At SSATI, we're offering an opportunity for aspiring Software Engineers who are eager to dive into the world of software development. As part of our team, you'll have the chance to contribute to the development of complex organizational systems, learning the ropes of agile methodology along the way. This role is perfect for individuals who are passionate about software engineering and are hungry to gain hands-on experience while making a meaningful impact on our projects—all while still receiving full pay and allowances from your military service.

Minimum Qualifications: -Open to all qualified transitioning active duty US service members, both officer and enlisted, of any rank and any branch. -Must have 120-180 days of active duty service remaining prior to date of separation and have obtained approval or be in the approval process from unit/command. -An active TS//SCI w/ Polygraph clearance is required. -A bachelors degree in computer science or other similar information technology discipline. Four (4) years of technical experience may be substituted in place of a degree. -Demonstrated experience administering, developing, or supporting information technology products. -An eagerness to learn software engineering technologies and best practices. Preferred Qualifications: -Demonstrated experience in software development, preferably with Java and/or Python. -Demonstrated experience with Linux System Administration, preferably Red Hat or CentOS. As a SkillBridge Intern, You Will: -Contribute to the development of complex organizational systems within a supportive team environment. -Work directly with SSATI leadership and engineers to gain hands-on development experience. -Gain hands-on experience with agile methodology while working on real-world projects. -Collaborate with experienced technical leads to refine coding skills and learn industry best practices. -Participate in rapid prototyping efforts, utilizing in-demand technologies such as Java, Python, and AWS. -Make a meaningful impact by solving genuine challenges and shaping the future of software development.
