Job description:
There are over 60 Job Role profiles in Cybersecurity and Risk professions that you can pursue as a career or use as your entry point. You will work in a virtual internship (which can qualify as a pre-apprenticeship with participating employers seeking apprentices). Job roles you will undertake, or can select, during the 12-week internship include Information Security Officer, Risk Analyst, Behavioural Analyst, Technology Risk Analyst, IT Auditor, Cloud Risk and Control Engineer, for example. These foundation roles and the learning model prepares participants for the public and private sector workplace. A key differentiator of the program, compared to academic, or technical certification courses or internship, is that it is designed by industry professionals to provide Related Work Experience (RWE aka OJT). Employers advise that while past military experience helps, academic qualifications and technical lab certifications can be learnt as wrote, they are more interested in experience. The experience you gain will help you make a breakthrough to obtain and shine during interviews. iQ4’s internships leverage core standards that employers use, such as the NIST Cybersecurity, Cloud Risk and Controls, and other gold standard Frameworks. These build resilience and show the regulators and shareholders how they build and maintain cybersecurity defense. Landing a job is down to convincing a private or public sector employer that you are ready for a job in the civilian context. This is what our program is designed for – delivering a candidate with 350 hours of Related Work Experience.
