CarpenterLake Charles, LouisianaKeiland Construction is seeking experienced Carpenters to join our team. The Carpenter position is responsible for the full range of concrete formwork and rough and finish skilled carpentry work for commercial construction. Applicant must be detail-oriented, organized, work well with others, and able to complete a wide variety of tasks and work with minimal supervision.REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONSAbility to accurately read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings and sketchesExcellent understanding of carpentry techniques and methods of installation and constructionKnowledge of tools, equipment and materials common to the carpentry tradeExperience working with equipment such as: boom lifts, scissor lifts, skid loaders and forkliftsAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucialProficient in using electrical and hand tools as well as measurement toolsAbility to read, understand, and comply with safety procedures at all timesSolid basic math skillsMust possess a valid Driver’s LicenseDrug & alcohol-free workplaceVerifiable referencesEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEAny combination of education and/or experience that would have provided the required knowledge and skills is qualifying.WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL EFFORTPerformance of the essential duties of this position includes the following physical demands and/or working conditions:Requires the ability to perform field work involving exertion of a moderate amount of physical effort to stoop, crouch and lift in the performance of duties.Work environment involves some exposure to hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions.Work environment may consist of uncomfortable working conditions including exposure to extreme temperatures, dust, noise, and performing inspections in confined spaces.The position is a full time hourly position. Pay is commensurate with experience.
