The fellow will work alongside experienced engineers and company leadership to gain hands-on experience across system architecture, product development, certification, and customer solution design.Training ObjectivesParticipants will gain practical experience in:• Battery energy storage system architecture and integration• Electrical and mechanical design processes• Battery pack, module, and system design methodologies• Energy management systems (EMS), battery management systems (BMS), and controls integration• Product certification and regulatory compliance processes• Customer requirements analysis and technical solution development• Commercial and defense energy storage applications
Job description:
Duties and Learning ActivitiesUnder the supervision of company engineering leadership, the fellow will:• Assist in the design and development of battery packs, modules, and complete energy storage systems.• Participate in system architecture reviews, component selection, and design trade studies.• Support CAD development, layout activities, and engineering documentation processes.• Assist with integration of BMS, EMS, power conversion systems, controllers, and communication interfaces.• Participate in testing, validation, and performance characterization of battery systems.• Support product certification efforts related to UL, IEC, UN, and military standards.• Assist in developing technical documentation, test procedures, and engineering reports.• Participate in customer technical discussions, requirements reviews, and proposal development activities.• Contribute to energy system modeling, performance analysis, and system optimization activities.• Gain exposure to cybersecurity, SCADA integration, and grid-connected energy applications.

Desired Background• Military experience in engineering, nuclear, electrical, mechanical, energy systems, aviation maintenance, electronics, or related technical disciplines preferred.• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related STEM field preferred.• Demonstrated technical aptitude and problem-solving ability.
