As a Tier 1 Desktop Support Specialist for the Enterprise Desktop Support Division at the Alaska State Office. You will provide on-site technical support to over 395 employees, gaining experience in troubleshooting Windows OS, installing software (e.g., ArcGIS, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat), and managing IT inventory.
Job description:
The incumbent will resolve routine IT issues, deploy and troubleshoot Windows operating systems, and install key software. You’ll also troubleshoot printers and peripherals and manage inventory records for IT assets. Additionally, you will respond to service requests, provide training on IT policies and procedures, and assist employees with technical guidance on information security. You’ll work closely with a small team to ensure smooth IT operations for the Alaska region.
Located at Bureau of Land Management - Alaska State Office. U.S. Citizenship is required. You cannot hold an active real estate license; nor can you have an interest or hold stocks in firms with interest in Federal Lands. Appointment will be subject to a favorably adjudicated background/suitability investigation/determination.
