There are four job titles with responsibilities that are critical across the eleven functional areas of the business: equipment technicians, process technicians, equipment engineers, and process engineers. The position and career training is provided for Fab Engineering equipment technicians to prepare participants for equipment technician roles in the Fab Engineering organization at Samsung Austin Semiconductor. The program length is estimated as three months. Interns will receive a hands-on introduction to advanced semiconductor manufacturing and receive additional fab protocol and safety training. The interns will complete at least one entry-level certification prior to culminating training. Evaluation is based on performance during training and independent work completed upon achieving their certification.
