Embark on a new career in the manufacturing industry. CNC Machinists work with computer numeric controlled (CNC) machinery from setup to operation. They product precision parts by cutting, drilling, and grinding, and make adjustments to machines to controlled speed, material feed, and path of cut, by using a variety of precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques. Training is comprised of 7 weeks interactive training, to be completed during off-duty hours. The remaining 11 weeks of project-based labs are conducted at the training facility, TAD orders required. Graduates earn several industry recognized certifications: Certificate of Completion; OSHA 10 Safety Certification; 4 National Institute Metalworking Skills (NIMS) Certifications. *Priority seating goes to Active Duty applicants, but eligible Veterans and Military Spouses may be able to participate depending on space availability. **There is cost associated with this training program, but use of GI BILL benefits is permissible, as is the MyCAA grant for eligible spouses.
