The Volunteer Coordinator will work with our volunteer services team on all aspects of volunteer management, from volunteer recruitment, engagement and retention. This position works with our team to evaluate our current volunteer processes and procedures and working on a volunteer recruitment, retention and engagement strategy.
Job description:
• Review processes and implement new procedures to increase the number of volunteers and volunteer hours. • Conduct outreach and promote volunteer opportunities through various channels (e.g., social media, community events, partnerships).• Organize and conduct orientation sessions for volunteers. Ensure volunteers understand their roles, responsibilities, and Soldiers’ Angels' mission. • Work within volunteer recruitment platforms, social media, and other lists of potential volunteers to vet new potential volunteers.• Work with new volunteers to set up their volunteer profiles, obtain any additional documentation needed, ensure the completeness of the documents, upload them into their profiles, and maintain internal tracking.• Determine what training, if any, is needed, assign, and confirm it has been completed. • Work with the community sites and Virtual Services to determine volunteer needs and how we can support those needs.• Coordinate the placement of volunteers in various volunteer roles. • Follow up with volunteers to ensure they are enjoying their volunteer experience. • Provide feedback on the effectiveness of the volunteer processes and procedures.
This opportunity is required to be onsite at Soldiers' Angels Headquarters at 2895 NE Loop 410 Suite 107, San Antonio, TX 78218. Some hybrid work is possible.
