MRSL has growth and career opportunities at a variety of levels level (entry-level to senior) for a Skillbridge Signals Intelligence (SIGINT) analyst. The duration is flexible anywhere from 3 to 6 months in which candidates will work SIGINT automation in-person at one of our secure office locations (Sarasota (HQ), Monterey, Dayton, and Denver).
Job description:
This position requires formal training such as Military Signals Analysis Program (MESAP, MCSAP, MOSAP) or equivalent experience in Signals Analysis careers (includes USAF 1N* (but not linguists), Army MOS 35 or 98, Navy IS or 9141, and the like). This position is open all aspects of SIGINT, with emphasis on ELINT (TechELINT and OpELINT) / FISINT / COMINT / PROFORMA analysis and development of automated capabilities in a secure environment. This also requires the ability to learn/use software methodologies to transition manual analysis processes into automated scripts and software tools. You will be working with a team of cleared software and SIGINT developers in supporting the USG in analysis and creation of automated SIGINT capabilities. Candidate are expected to have:• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on foreign military capabilities.• Knowledge and experience with National and DoD data sources, databases, and related tools such as THRESHER, FADE/MIST, BODHI. • This requires a current clearance and the ability to maintain this clearance.• No degree required given the candidate has sufficient SIGINT analysis skills and aptitude toward programming/automation. Specific work tasks include:• Working formal and on-the-job training.• Working with raw SIGINT and descriptor words for signals analysis using tools like ASPEN, Martes, Willow, DVT, WVT, M2Extra, X-Midas, and similar.• Learning and building data-science tools and techniques for automated extraction of critical items of interest from large datasets.• Learning and working full life-cycle software development tools, methodologies, processes, and languages. • Extracting essential elements of information from the data, organizing, and compiling that into clear written reports. One of the key roles for MRSL is as a developer of software solutions for hard-core SIGINT processing needs for both DoD and National customers. This Skillbridge opportunity is used to both train and assess candidates for future career with MRSL. We have developers who do some analysis -- and are looking for analysts who can do some software development and support a team in automation. MRSL has several customers who need analysis skills and is always looking for talented individuals who can help us automate the processing of challenging SIGINT problems. At the end of this process, the Service member will have skills in confidence in working Data Science problem areas within SIGINT and have highly employable skills with the combination of analysis and software automation.
