Job description:
Training SpecificsOn the Job Training: The training program is designed to provide interns with the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to transition into full time employment with EnerSys. Interns will receive a combination of hands on, on-site training as well as classroom style and computer based training. Interns who demonstrate satisfactory completion of training objectives and receive positive performance reviews can expect to be offered full time employment at one of EnerSys’s facilities as a Environmental Lab Test Technician. Training objectives include:· Thermal Battery Static Testing: Test thermal batteries and assemblies following methods, procedures, standards and sequences.· Records Management: Maintain test records and data according to procedures and engineering requirements.· Environmental Test Setup: Lay out and assemble product and electronic equipment according to designs and specifications.· Environmental Equipment Knowledge: Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, test and maintain equipment, components, devices and systems.· Environmental Equipment Knowledge: Modify product and electronic equipment by adding, removing or altering components as defined by predetermined diagrams, sketches and procedures.· Environmental Equipment Knowledge: Correct malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or componentsProfessional Development: To enable all candidates to have long term, successful post-military careers, RecruitMilitary provides employment skill training and professional development coaching for all participating interns. This portion of the program includes participation in professional development seminars, close work with assigned mentors and practical applications to ensure all interns are armed with the requisite knowledge skills and abilities to develop and manage a successful civilian career after military service. Developmental topics include:· Creating resumes targeted to specific opportunities in specific fields of employment.· Leveraging social media to effectively network in the digital environment for career success.· Development of a coherent personal brand to effectively market the intern to potential employers.· Use of digital and online tools for targeted job searches and networking.· Development of skills necessary to secure, prepare for and succeed at job interviews and subsequent salary negotiations.Facilities Maintenance Technician Key Responsibilities· Test thermal batteries and assemblies following methods, procedures, standards and sequences.· Maintain test records and data according to procedures and engineering requirements.· Lay out and assemble product and electronic equipment according to designs and specifications.· Constructs, troubleshoots, calibrates, adjusts, tests and maintains equipment, components, devices and systems.· Modify product and electronic equipment by adding, removing or altering components as defined by predetermined diagrams, sketches and procedures.· Correct malfunctions by making adjustments or replacing parts or components.· Use hand and small power tools and various measuring and testing devices.· Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control devices.· Communicate well with members of engineering department and plant personnel.· Familiarity with LabVIEW and dynamic/climatic test system software.Skills, Requirements, & Qualifications

Skills, Requirements, & QualificationsRequired:· Must be a current Active Duty Servicemember eligible for DOD SkillBridge opportunities in accordance with DODI 1323.29.· Must be separating from the Military in 4-12 months· Must be able to complete a 90-120 day internship· Must be able to complete 40 hours per week· Willingness to learn from others on the job
