Upon completion of this SkillBridge training program, the participant will have completed approximately 400 hours of supervised medical operations training aligned with Medical Branch Training Standardization Job Task Sheets (TSJTS 01–38). The participant will demonstrate documented exposure to and supervised participation in core MEPS medical workflows, including prescreen review, applicant intake, medical screening, testing support, examination assistance, and medical systems utilization. The participant will demonstrate an understanding of HIPAA compliance, applicant confidentiality, safety procedures, and professional conduct within a regulated medical environment. The participant will gain practical familiarity with MHS GENESIS navigation, documentation workflows, and data security requirements through completion of required Joint Knowledge Online training and supervised application. Upon completion, the participant will demonstrate the ability to support end-to-end medical processing operations under supervision by applying cumulative knowledge across multiple medical programs and procedures, validating readiness to function as a Medical Technician within a MEPS or comparable civilian healthcare support environment in accordance with established policies, procedures, and compliance standards.

Serves as a Medical Technician in a Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS). Incumbent of this position provides assistance to the examining Medical Officer with applicant examination and identification of observable physical characteristics (e.g., missing digits, scoliosis, pes planus), to include supporting the discovery of potential disqualifying enlistment or retention factors, and supporting the Medical Officer’s determination of an applicant’s fitness for military duty. All duties are performed under the supervision of the Medical Officer and in accordance with established MEPS policies and procedures. Length of Training: 10 Weeks, Monday-Friday (40 Hours per week)
