This is an internship/job training opportunity as an integrated risk management coordinator. The position is located in the Operations Division of Operational Test and Evaluation Force. The mission of the organization is to be an independent test authority for all systems entering Naval service.
Job description:
The purpose of this position is to analyze programs, evaluate issues, develop recommendations, and determine necessary policies, regulations, directives, programs, doctrine, and procedures for the establishment and maintenance of command programs and to resolve substantive problems and issues of effectiveness and efficiency of operations in program areas. Additional responsibilities include:• Conducting program evaluations and internal control reviews to measure the effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance of command programs to measure achievement of program goals.• Supporting coordination of engagements and development of command responses to external oversight bodies, such as the Government Accountability Office (GAO), and the Office of Inspector General (OIG), and supports efforts to implement recommendations made by these groups.• Analyzing actions taken as the result of external and internal evaluations and review to determine if those actions have been fully and successfully implemented.• Supporting efforts to strengthen understanding of enterprise risk management and internal controls. This may include conducting interviews to gather risk and risk treatment information at the programmatic, entity, and enterprise levels; participating in and coordinating development of workshops to identify enterprise risks and risk treatments; synthesizing and performing analysis of risk and risk treatment information to determine levels of risk in relation to established risk tolerance and agency priorities; and supporting administration of systems related to enterprise risk management.• Assist in the development of policy, procedural, and other governing documents for the command's management accountability and controls programs.• Document planning and programming decisions in the appropriate formats, provides technical guidance, and advisor support to meet assigned program and mission requirements.• Prepares and delivers oral presentations such as briefings, training sessions, and strategy sessions with internal and external staff offices.
