Job description:
The ServiceNow SkillBridge program is delivered full time over a 4–6 week period through virtual live instruction and lab-based simulations. Service members participate in instructor-led training, hands-on platform exercises, and a capstone mini-project that includes an ITSM workflow and HRSD case management scenario presented to an employer panel.The program includes structured career transition support, including professional communication development, resume preparation, interview readiness, and employer engagement activities. Duties are performed in a controlled training and professional environment as part of an approved DoD SkillBridge program.During the SkillBridge period, the Service member will:* Analyze business and IT service workflows using the ServiceNow platform* Review system data, dashboards, and reports to support operational and service delivery decisions* Assist with documenting requirements, workflows, and process improvements* Support configuration testing, validation, and issue tracking activities* Participate in Agile-based team activities, including backlog reviews and sprint planning exercises* Prepare reports, process documentation, and operational summaries* Participate in team meetings, project reviews, and cross-functional discussions* Apply military operational, analytical, and leadership experience to civilian enterprise environmentsDepending on background, duties may include domain-specific analysis such as:* IT Service Management (ITSM) workflows, including incident, problem, change, and asset management* Human Resources Service Delivery (HRSD) workflows, including case management and employee service requests* Business operations and service automation, including workflow design, reporting, and process optimizationDuring the SkillBridge period, Service members prepare for industry-recognized credentials, which may include:* ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA)* ITIL 4 Foundations* Other credentials depending on career focusCertification and additional credential outcomes depend on individual performance and successful exam completion within the learning period.

SkillBridge participation is subject to command approval and DoD eligibility requirements. Service members must be within 180 days of separation, complete TAP requirements, remain in good standing, and commit to full-time participation. Employment is not guaranteed; however, participants receive structured career readiness support and access to employer engagement opportunities, including interviews, hiring consideration based on individual performance and employer demand, and registered apprenticeship opportunities with SMLA and our employer network.
